today I finally got lights and spedo on, max speed is only 32 but its very economical on electrons and good up hills,  cruse control is good and the lights are sweet,  the front lights are very hard to miss in strong daylight, and light the way well at night, tail lights ant as strong but still great at night.

today I got the solar array on and wired in, it was great to finally take it for its first solar powered run. the array performs well, it doesn't seem to heavy and it produces good output.

I got the pannel frame on today, it dose look really long, but  the one on mark 3 did look really small when it first went on, but hey, big pannel, lots of power, long daily range.

this afternoon I finally went for my first non catastrophic test ride further than around the block, the bike handled the hills and dirt amazingly well, especially after the last week of extreme frustration trying to get the chain drive to work. no mechanical issues other than a flat tire, easily fixed.
the efficiency was also impressive, I rarely drew more than 20 amps and only just used 13 ah for the 40 or so kilometre ride, with no a serious hill in the middle ( 400m vertical) and no regenerative breaking. I'm happy.

I went for my first powered ride the other day, the crawl gear is awesome and acceleration is, more than adequate and the current draw isn't insane, witch is very good news for range. I'm still working on the cruiser  speed gear. but give or take the wiring mess it dose look fairly nice
